Species At Risk Programs

START: Saving Turtles at Risk Project is delivered by the Canadian Wildlife Federation and Scales Nature Park. This initiative works to conserve turtles in Muskoka and other regions.

Adopt-a-Pond: The Toronto Zoo’s Adopt-A-Pond Wetland Conservation Programme, works to design and deliver impactful conservation-focused research, restoration, and outreach that highlights the importance of saving Canada’s sensitive wetland species and their habitats. These natural spaces provide important habitat for a diverse selection of native wildlife, including turtles, frogs, and salamanders.
